The Real Jerusalem

According to biblical prophecy and most popular theories, the city of Jerusalem is destined to be the focal point of many extraordinary events during the final days of this age. However, most assume that the latter day Jerusalem of scripture is the same as the historical city recognized by men, which hasn’t been the case for nearly 2,000 years.

This and many other things changed with the advent of Christ: The covenant between God and His people was rewritten and opened to all, the temple was redefined as the assembly of saints adjoined to the Father through Christ and the apostles, and construction of the New Jerusalem began in earnest. Moreover, the physical domain of the future kingdom of God in the world thereafter encompassed the entire world, not just the relatively tiny land of ancient Israel. The New Testament thoroughly accounts for these new perspectives, as do many of the Old Testament prophecies of the Christian era.

The old Jerusalem, temple, and covenant didn’t become irrelevant thereafter, but rather became the foundation and foreshadows of the new, which will ultimately serve the same purposes as the eternal plan of God unfolds. Though many remain fixated on the old city of Jerusalem and even expect another unsanctified temple complex to be constructed as key elements of their prophetic expectations, there is no reason to think Yahweh has anything in particular to do with that city or the Jewish people at this time.

In the context of the New Testament era and beyond, His people, the Jews, are those born of the spiritual seed of Christ, His temple is the living assembly of those people in the world where He dwells, and the city of Jerusalem is ultimately the larger assembly of His people past, present, and future. In the meantime and as a prophetic symbol, Jerusalem is, as it always was, the cultural, political, and economic center of the land(s) occupied by His people, whether standing in His favor or given over to apostasy as the Jews were before being forsaken by God upon the advent of the Messiah they wholly rejected.

Just like anyone else, God’s word can only be correctly interpreted according to His own intended meaning. Thus, when He refers to Jerusalem, His people, His covenant, etc., He means those things to be understood according to His own plainly manifested thoughts on who or what is indicated by these terms. Many have accepted grandiose scenarios painted by popular books and movies regarding the final days of this age that are entirely premised on obsolete definitions of these same terms. As a result, many have been duped into believing that the major events predicted by the biblical prophets are on indefinite hold until things like rebuilding the Jewish temple in Jerusalem are done.

The apostles themselves struggled with these new concepts at times. Even well after His resurrection, the expected Yahshua to overthrow the Roman’s rule over Jerusalem and reestablish the earthly kingdom of Israel as it was under David and his successors. Likewise, they took His predictions of the temple’s destruction and rebuilding as regarding the physical structures of Herod’s temple in Jerusalem, only realizing that He was talking about His death and resurrection as the Chief Cornerstone of the new, living temple after He was resurrected. Fortunately, they left a thorough record of the truth they ultimately discovered, so others would not be so easily duped by the same assumptions.

While biblical references to Jerusalem, the temple, etc. in the New Testament era do not necessarily indicate the ancient city of Jerusalem, neither can many of these be taken as meaning the glorious city described in connection with the new creation set to replace the present heaven and earth in the distant future. What does the word of God mean, for instance, when it speaks of the “holy city” and the prophet Daniel’s “people” in chapter 9 of his book? This prophecy speaks of a nearly five century span of time allowed for them to rebuild the city and establish righteousness in anticipation of the advent of the Messiah’s kingdom.

According to Daniel’s prophecy, the physical work of rebuilding would be somewhat accomplished, but the spiritual restoration would fall short. As a result, great destruction at the hands of the “people of the prince” (meaning the antichrist’s allies) will befall the “holy city” inhabited by Daniel’s people in the world at that time. This compels a view of not only what Jerusalem is to God, but what it historically represents in the world as the political, religious, and economic center of the land occupied by His people. In modern times, this most naturally relates to the nations of Western Europe, North and South America, and other predominately Christian nations of the world. Of these, there is only one universally recognized chief, and that is the one hosting more Protestants, Catholics, and Jews than any other in the world – the United States of America.

In historical terms, this rise of the U.S. to global prominence could be very easily analogized to the plight of the children of Israel from Egyptian slaves to great world power in the land given to them by Yahweh. They were forbidden to freely worship their God by the Egyptians, as Christians were for most of the first 1,500 years of the founding of the Church by the Roman Catholic oppressors. By great divine intervention, the Israelites escaped their captors, as did the subjects of the Pope and Roman Emperor through the Reformation that began in 1517. Many years later, they occupied the land, conquering its pagan inhabitants in the process, as did those who migrated to the new world of the American continents. They were given the opportunity to build a nation and lives His people in lands rich with natural resources, and they consumed the abundance they were given while forsaking the ways of the Giver. In the Jews case, they suffered total annihilation, loss of their land, and captivity as a result of their betrayal of God, and America and the rest of Christendom in the world seems to be headed for a similar fate.

What is really alarming about this scenario is that Daniel’s prophecy very specifically cited a 490 year period of time for God’s people in the latter days of the Christian era to do exactly as they have been doing since the Reformation, and that started 489 years ago. So, here America sits facing the consequences of its betrayals of its Lord like Jerusalem surrounded by Nebuchadnezzar’s army in Jeremiah’s time, defiantly shaking its fist at its enemies as though God is on their side rather than their unbelieving enemies. (Nebuchadnezzar was a polytheistic pagan with a history of inflicting unmerciful violence; he was also Yahweh’s “servant”, as those who will cause the latter day destruction of Jerusalem will be.) Interestingly, there were 42 kings between the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel’s descendants before they fell, and America is currently on its 42 president if you don’t count the one who won two separate terms twice.

One final twist to introduce is the connection between Jerusalem and Babylon as symbols in biblical prophecies pertinent to modern times. Key to this is the revealing statement in Revelation 11 that relates the “great city” of John’s narrative to symbolic representations of Sodom, Egypt, and Jerusalem in its worst state of apostasy, when they murdered Yahshua. Elsewhere, this great city is symbolically related to Babylon and painted as a “great harlot” who sits at the pinnacle of glory and power amongst nations in the world facing a sudden and devastating fiery attack at the hands of the “people of the prince who is to come” who Daniel said would destroy the “holy city”.

Obviously, finding the United States in biblical prophecies symbolically represented as Babylon, Jerusalem, Sodom, and Egypt requires much more consideration than given here, but the possibility has the potential of shining a great deal of light on numerous passages pertaining to current and future events in the world. Inspired by God, the prophets used examples of what they knew to describe the distant future in ways that would speak directly to those who would witness the objects of their metaphors…and cared enough to know. In so doing, they preserved the word of God as though sealed until the manifestation of the things they described began breaking those seals.

Who or What is "New Babylon"?

New Babylon is not a government, but it does have ultimate political authority over its government. It is not a church or religious organization, but it is a collection of people claiming to be Christians. In other words, its nature is just like the predominately Christian democracies of the world today where elected officials govern at the consent of the governed. The woman riding the beast like a horseman is an image of the singular power of the collective will of such people over their government and leaders; it is the people, not their government.

With that in view, the “great harlot” who is the “mother of harlots” would seem to be both the forerunner and preeminent of such nations – a predominately Christian, democratically governed nation with unrivaled power in the world…a Christian superpower, much like its predecessor, the “Holy Roman Empire”. If that is not enough to resolve the mystery beyond all doubt, let us consider some of the more obvious identifying features of this unfaithful “woman”:

1. It sits on the back of the political beast, representing distinction from and authority over the government.
2. Being the “mother of harlots,” it has spawned numerous other political systems like its own, though it remains “the great harlot” targeted for God’s wrath.
3. As a “great harlot” in God’s view, it is not only a highly immoral people, they have particular obligations to God commensurate with their own professions to be His people, as well as the extraordinary blessings they have enjoyed.
4. It has an attitude of moral superiority and infallibility, wrongly believing it has God’s favor.
5. It asserts political power through the cooperation of government leaders around the world.
6. It is a great consumer with an insatiable appetite for all the finest things in the world.
7. It supports its extreme materialism through vast imports from around the world.
8. It spreads great wealth to businessmen and ship owners around the world through its vast consumption.
9. As “the mother of abominations,” it is a great exporter of immorality around the world.

Who or what, then, could this “woman” be? Where might one find an unrivaled political power with great wealth ruled by the consent of predominately Christian people? Where might one find a nation known for getting other nations to join in its international agendas? That is known for its vast imports of international goods? That not only indulges itself in all sorts of debauchery, but also glorifies immoral behavior around the world?

Oh, come now, must I say it???? Could not the woman in John’s vision just as well have been dubbed “The United States of America, Mother of Christian Democracies and Moral Decadence in the World”? Yes, it could have been written that way, but, admittedly, the woman in John’s vision was dubbed ‘Babylon’, not ‘America’. If nothing else, this allows skeptics to pass on acknowledging what is otherwise obvious, including the fact that neither the Greek nor Roman empires, both heirs of the Babylonian beast of Daniel’s day, were named in prophecies about them, either. Unfortunately, just like when Jeremiah prophesied about Jerusalem’s forthcoming annihilation, the real proof will be in the destruction prophesied to befall this “New Babylon,” and even then, few will care what the God of the Bible has to say any more than they did before.

Why the Great Harlot called Babylon Matters

…I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her mmorality, and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (Revelation 17:3-5)

Before addressing the nature and identity of this mysterious entity, a bit on its relevance is in order. Most notably, the empowerment of the New Babylon of end time prophecy will probably be the most obvious signal of the beginning of the final days of this age. It will so obviously fit the biblical description that those who earnestly concern themselves with such things will have no trouble recognizing the significance of it as arguably the. Those who do will at least have a chance to escape the pervasive delusion of peace and safety befalling most…as they face the wrath of both God and man.

The woman called “Babylon the Great” in this picture represents the preeminent political, economic, and spiritual power in the world before the cataclysmic events prophesied to mark the end of this age of grace befall the human race. Therefore, the rise of this power will be amongst the earliest signals of the nearness of the biblically proscribed, mostly horrific events leading to the establishment of Yahshua’s kingdom in a very different world.

Moreover, as notable as “New Babylon’s” rise to unprecedented power and glory will be in the context of human history, it’s sudden fiery demise by a nuclear attack (or equivalent) will be like a cosmic starting gun sounding the beginning of the end of this age. Who or whatever New Babylon is, the overthrow of its globally dominant power will be the front page event of all history. Thereafter, the mysterious timetable of events detailed in the books of Daniel and Revelation will unfold precisely as predicted by the ancient prophets.

In a nutshell, the relevance of the biblical New Babylon is that virtually everything written of the last days of this age begins and/or relates directly to it. While this naturally draws the attention of those anticipating the fulfillment of those prophecies, few will even believe the correlation is true, no matter how perfectly men living thousands of years ago depicted it. It will be at the center of the world’s attention anyway, though only because of its notoriety, not its biblical significance.

According to the intentions of those who will cause it, New Babylon’s sudden fiery demise will set in motion the campaign to coronate their “messiah”, the notorious “man of sin…son of death” commonly called the antichrist.

October 2007 - Beginning of the End?

It is common knowledge that the writings of the prophet Daniel, who lived over four centuries before Christ, and John the apostle’s Revelation both cover overlapping accounts of the cataclysmic final days of this age of grace. One of the most compelling elements linking the two is the detailed, albeit mysterious, references to the timing of various events prophesied to occur in these times. Without digressing into particulars, they specify things that are to occur over periods of time ranging from 3½ to 2,300 days, with other marks including 10, 1,260, 1,290 and 1,335 days, 42 months, and 3½ years.

While all of these references give great insights into how long various events will last or occur after other events, they don’t answer precisely when anything will happen until the initial indicators are manifested. For instance, Revelation 11 speaks of the “two witnesses” who will prophesy for 1,260 days and then be killed. When they are manifested, those who recognize them will be able to mark on their calendars precisely when they will die. Until then, however, all that can be known is the duration of their ministry, not the timing.

So, then, since the beginning of all these references are unknown points in the future, it is not possible to anticipate the date of any until some direct link to past or current events can be identified. Thus, these prophecies provide a true and somewhat detailed schedule of events that is intended to be understood and even serve as a litmus test dividing true believers from everyone else living in the times described.

Neither Daniel nor John, nor even Yahshua himself in the apostles’ day, could answer the question, ‘when?’, but the seal on this knowledge was never intended to be permanent. Rather, when the prophesied events marking the onset of these things happen, those who recognize them as such would be able to discern what the ancient prophets could only see from afar. Their predictions were like a mystery lacking enough information for even them to resolve, but they wrote knowing that time would supply the missing pieces to those who would really need the truth in a time of many strong delusions.

This naturally directs attention to the first mysterious marker in time referenced by these prophets, for everything else is ostensibly measured from there in some way. According to most pop theologians, no specific time schedule of events precedes the advent of the kingdom of God in the world more than seven years, but that isn’t how Daniel saw it some 2,500 years ago. In chapter 9, he wrote of a 490 year decree which, interpreted, indicated a virtual resurrection of the church founded by the apostles out of the ashes of its demise in the years following their deaths.

With this in view, the events marking the beginning of this time period must now be a matter of human history, else the end of this age must be at least 490 years or more into the future, which is an untenable conclusion for many reasons. History marks several such occasions, like the children of Israel’s exodus from Egypt, the times of restoration following their Babylonian captivity, the beginnings of the Church in the apostles’ time, and one more that actually falls within a reasonable time frame for these purposes, the Protestant Reformation.

The correlation between this remarkable turnabout in the course of human events and Daniel’s prophecy are obvious, but the nature of the decree it arguably marked is not: It is a mission for God’s people to complete the work ordained by the Christ, founded by the apostles, and framed by the New Testament; that is, building up the one true Church of the one true and living God according to the teachings of His Son, Yahshua. Moreover, this mission not only came with the opportunities afforded by the Reformation and the mandate of scripture, it also came with a deadline of 490 years. Like Noah and his family alone knew and believed that God had decreed 120 years to build the ark, those who heed the word of God would, in the last days of this age, know the number of days given to the household of God to prepare for His judgments against everyone else.

The history of the Reformation is a remarkable story in its own right, but coupled with the foresight of men of God like Daniel and John, it is a key marker in time for those who believe and heed the word of God. The scriptures had been literally held captive for over 1,200 years, deliberately kept from the view of all but the Roman Catholic clergy, who, instead, continually poisoned them with their error-ridden teachings.

The Reformation changed all that, though. Thereafter, men gained the opportunity to not only hear the apostles’ teachings for themselves, but to interpret and apply them according to their own individual consciences. Those who willingly declare Yahshua ‘Lord’ made themselves a part of those called to do the work of building upon the apostles’ foundation of a single, unified Church.

This work is the subject of the decree set forth in Daniel’s ancient prophecy, and the deadline for judgment is rapidly approaching: The 490th anniversary of the commonly recognized birth of the Reformation is scarcely a year away, October 31, 2007. I see no reason to think the judgment of the “household of God” in the world will linger many days thereafter, and that, according to Peter, is where judgment will begin. Neither do I see any reason to diminish the Lord’s pronouncement of “woe” upon the entire world because of the offenses that will be found amongst the churches.

The clock on mankind’s time in this world has been ticking since before God said, “Let there be light,” so the pertinent question here is, at what point does the sound of its chimes become audible to those dwelling in the world? Noah heard it 120 years before all his contemporaries did, and they didn’t get it until they were drowning in the flood. While allowing room for further evidence to alter my assessment, it seems to me that the first chime began ringing late in the year of 1517, and a very loud alarm is most likely set to wake up the whole world within the next couple years.

USATODAY.com - Schwarzenegger won't shy from confrontation

USATODAY.com - Schwarzenegger won't shy from confrontation:

"Schwarzenegger raised nearly $30 million last year from an array of corporate contributors, some of whom are giving in $250,000 increments to help promote his ballot initiatives. Asked whether they are special interests, he replied, 'As soon as a group of people is between the public and the politicians, it becomes a special interest. Now that can mean the drug companies, that can mean the auto dealers. Anyone that is fighting for their (own) interests. It doesn't mean they're bad.'

J.J. Jelincic, president of the California State Employees Association, has his own definition: 'For Arnold Schwarzenegger, a special interest is anyone who has not written him a $100,000 check.'

Bob Stern, president of the Center for Governmental Studies in Los Angeles, says Schwarzenegger's conference calls with donors highlight a paradox: 'He came in saying that he was against the special interests and he's become Mr. Special Interest. You give a certain amount of cash, and you get special access to a special phone number to give your input.'"

...Republicans, a minority here, find Schwarzenegger's aggressiveness bracing. "Because he's new, because he's bigger than life in every respect, he's willing to take on what's untouchable," says state finance director Tom Campbell, a former member of Congress.

State Senate Republican leader Kevin McCarthy gives another reason for the Austrian-born Schwarzenegger's fearlessness: He's not angling for higher office, because only native-born Americans can occupy the White House. "This governor can't be president," he says. "He knows it; we all know it."

Mark DiCamillo, director of the statewide, non-partisan Field Poll, says the slim leads Schwarzenegger's proposals enjoy will be hard to sustain in the endgame ad barrage. But then again, "he's a man who likes to overcome obstacles."

Schwarzenegger says all people need is information, and he'll make sure they get it: "I'm an expert at that, to go out there and to market and to promote things."

He demonstrated his style in defense of his budget initiative, which Nunez and others say would give him more power than any governor in the country and make him virtually king of California.

"Would you rather give the budget to the legislators that have run down this state and created a budget deficit of $22 billion, or would you rather give it to me? Somebody who has hundreds of millions of dollars and has (made) the best investments of anyone in Hollywood?" Schwarzenegger asked. "Just do a little soul-searching right now and ask yourself: Do you want to give your checkbook to those guys or give it to me? Because I can guarantee you I can turn $1 into $2."

Governors Line Up For Oval Office

CBS News | Governors Line Up For Oval Office | March 1, 2005 14:30:04:

"...In the realm of famous Republican governors who insist they're not running - and may actually mean it - there's Arnold Schwarzenegger of California and Jeb Bush of Florida. Speaking on 'Meet the Press' Sunday, Governor Schwarzenegger stated flatly that 'my goal is not to run for president,' then seemed to back that up by refusing to answer any questions that didn't have to do with California. The Austrian-born actor also maintains he is not behind any of the efforts to amend the Constitution to allow naturalized citizens to run for president. "

Yeah, right...just like the current president was only running for governor of Texas in 1998, a year or so before throwing his hat in the ring for president and subsequently resigning the governorship mid-term. Schwarzenegger will say whatever serves his purposes, and fessing up to his already well-documented aspirations to be king of the world or at least "leader of the free world" (which will include the whole world if Bush has his way) simply doesn't serve his purposes right now and won't until the 2006 election for California governor is over.

Of course, the Bible has already determined that the antichrist will rise to power on the power of his personality cult, indicating at least a semblance of being drafted for the role by others rather than promoting himself...just as various groups are presently trying to get initiated. He already has the unqualified endorsements of notables from both extremes of the political spectrum FOR PRESIDENT, including the likes of ultra-liberal John Kerry supporter Jon Bon Jovi and supposedly ultra-conservative former President George H.W. Bush.

In other words, one needn't hear Schwarzenegger deny his presidential ambitions to know that he will (until the time is right), so the fact that he does means nothing except to cast further doubt on the integrity of his words.

The Loud Outcry of Innocent Blood

The Loud Outcry of Innocent Blood:

"For quite a few years, whenever I've read about the innumerable souls John saw under the altar of heaven pleading for vengeance for their blood, I've thought of the tens of millions of babies this country has denied even the opportunity of having a name. God promises them that justice is coming shortly, giving them white robes representing their righteousness...and His blessing...in consolotation for the interim.

People object to that correlation on the basis that those souls are martyrs who died for their testimony of Yahshua, which, of course, the unborn never had, or so they say.

What is missing from that argument is the fact that 'testimony' is or at least often is a matter of judgment. Yahshua's blood testified against His unrepentant murderers, for instance, and Abel's blood cried out from the ground against Cain, and all the blood of the saints and martyrs will be found in the great harlot Babylon, including, obviously, the innumerable company of innocents previously seen pleading to God for justice...and being heard. Yes, from Cain to end time Babylon, the God of the Bible has a long history of giving quite a lot of currency to the testimony of the blood of the righteous victims of evil murderers. Their blood is in fact, the reason, the testimony, that will ultimately provoke the utter desolation of the once exceedingly bountiful land of Babylon.

So, what is the 'testimony' of unborn children before the throne of God? It is the same as Abel and Yahshua had, in fact, that they were INNOCENT. The effect of their testimony is similar, too: Cain was banished and his seed wiped out of existence, the nation of Israel was utterly forsaken and scattered to the wind, and the blood of the innocents seen after the 5th seal is broken will be vindicated against Babylon, the chief priestess of the wickedness against them.

If that isn't enough, it is entirely pertinent that the names of the saints are written in the Lamb's Book of Life from before the foundations of the world, not after they heed an altar call or get their heads sprinkled as babies. Hmmm...that's interesting -- hey, you don't suppose the same devil who killed thousands of babies trying to get the Messiah 2,000 years ago would kill tens of millions trying to get the two witnesses or something, do you?

Further, I'd really like to hear arguments that the devil and his agents' successes in killing the unborn also constitutes eliminating the works of Christ many would no doubt have done, had they been given the chance. No, I don't think so...I think their names were written in heaven long before they were conceived, as the Bible says, and I think their works follow them, anyway. The God I know will not deprive them of their just due simply because the devil stole their opportunity to earn treasures in heaven.

Mostly, however, there are 40,000,000 or so -- far too many to count -- whose innocent blood echoes that of their Savior as well as their brother, Abel, more loudly than anything -- their murderers are worthy of the judgment they get. Yes, the murdered unborn have a testimony that no one other than Yahshua Himself can absolutely claim: They are innocent, and their murderers are guilty. Their sacrifice establishes the case against the harlot and other kingdoms of this world, that they are worthy of God's harsh judgment.

We would all do well to hear the outcry of their blood before Yahweh responds to it."

Schwarzenegger, Bush hit it off in first official meeting / Plenty of jokes, but no requests for U.S. aid or promises of help
: "The 30-minute private sit-down between Bush and Schwarzenegger, which the governor-elect called a 'wonderful meeting,'' occurred before a presidential address on the economy and terrorism to the Inland Empire Economic Partnership,
a group of several hundred business leaders in San Bernardino. Schwarzenegger introduced the president, saying, 'there is no greater ally this Golden State has in Washington.'

Bush, for his part, said Schwarzenegger will be 'a fine and strong leader'' for California. The president also joked about how much he and the governor-elect have in common. "

NBC11.com - News - Mr. Schwarzenegger Goes To Washington:

"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is gearing up for his trip to Washington, D.C., this week aimed at getting more federal money for California.
The trip comes on the heels of the release of a new report detailing the short-changing of California.
In 2003, the nonprofit California Institute found the state sent $50 billion more in taxes to Washington than it received in federal dollars.
Democratic leaders say this trip is an important test of Schwarzenegger's ability to deliver for California, a state that hasn't been politically friendly to President George W. Bush.
Schwarzenegger's efforts may be complicated by the vocal criticism from California Sen. Barbara Boxer.
However, the governor says he is focused on his mission and doesn't pay attention to what Boxer says. "

Calif. GOP Changes Rule to Back Governor

Calif. GOP Changes Rule to Back Governor:

"SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Although Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has not revealed whether he will seek re-election, the California Republican Party on Sunday changed a party rule and endorsed him 16 months before the 2006 gubernatorial primary.
Delegates at the state GOP convention decided to make an exception to the party's policy of not endorsing candidates before the primary elections so Republicans can pay some early expenses - such as bulk mailing and voter registration- should Schwarzenegger decide to run again.
``The Democratic Party is already raising money to field candidates for this office,'' said Karen Hanretty, a party spokeswoman. ``To remain competitive, the party had to make this necessary, one-time rule change.''
A voice vote on the endorsement was ``overwhelmingly supportive of the governor,'' Hanretty said.
The proposal caused longtime GOP activist Dora Kingsley to resign her seat on the party rules committee on Friday. Kingsley, who did not attend Sunday's convention, said she thought making an exception for Schwarzenegger could result in the loss of voter confidence by discouraging challengers. "

"Rove has always had a major role in formulating policy, officials now suddenly were eager to concede. A bit too strenuously, they insisted that Rove would be excluded from hard-core matters such as the Pentagon, intelligence and counterterrorismand that he would not be in the Oval Office when the president gets his ultrasecret morning intel briefing. And yet, officials said publicly, Rove will 'coordinate policy within the various councils' of the White Houseincluding national security and homeland securitywhile he 'continues to oversee the strategy to advance' Bush's agenda. As usual in bureaucratic Washington, the real story lay not in the nomenclature but in the real estate: Rove is moving from upstairs to down, just around the corner from the Oval Office. 'In a way, the appointment just confirms reality,' said GOP consultant Charlie Black. But, in a city in which the biggest secrets are the open ones, 'this is still a big deal.'"

Antichrist Beast Number Factor Project

Antichrist Beast Number Factor Project:

"...The array of beast number theories circulating on the internet are like a contest with numerous entrants all claiming to have caught the best fish in the lake without ever establishing what is 'best'. Moreover, even if an agreeable measure for that could be established, how would one have any confidence that the fishermen had snagged the 'best' fish? It could just as well remain hidden in the deep waters of the lake. While these questions may not have definitive answers, the challenge definitely calls for a new approach, so I traded in my rod and reel for a large net in the form of a 200 megabyte spreadsheet.

This is how it works: Beginning with a select and growing list of names of prominent people, a program is used to multiply whatever first-middle-last name/initial combinations their name lends by 20-25 past, present, and potential titles that might apply. This generates a little over 200 average 'names' per unique person, each of which is then broken down into individual characters and calculated 60 different ways. To put this in context, the initial presentation includes 84 unique people's names rendered a total of nearly 18,000 unique ways and measured by over a million name and code combinations..."

America Burning - Is America Babylon of End Time Prophecy?:

"...It is also evident that this nation would be far from obscure in its day, though John was only able to see it through the eyes of the angel who delivered the message.

When the fact that we are 1,900 years closer to the times John foresaw and all indications are that by most accounts we are very near the beginning of the end is considered, it is untenable to conclude Babylon an invisible, unidentifiable entity. In other words, to think both that the end times are near AND that uncertainty about Babylon's identity is irrational. The reason is obvious in the text of Revelation 17-18, where this great harlot is plainly described as the political, economic, and spiritual epicenter of the world order at that time. That alone makes it certain that 'Babylon' -- an historical city, nation, and empire, but not a religion -- is a nation (not to be confused with a government), and the manner of its sudden, fiery demise makes it clear that it has a specific geographic domain, too, though not specifically where that would be...."

"'...[then] I came across 'he will succeed at whatever he does' (Dan 8:24 NIV), and knew enough of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the superstar of both body building and Hollywood films, to see a good fit. Then I considered the fact that the Antichrist's rise will include a stint as a 'little horn,' meaning a political leader who is subordinate to the ten larger 'horns' discussed in Daniel 7, or something like a state governor. I looked further: Seeing that the Antichrist will rise through political intrigue with a lot of outside help rather than normal processes, he'll be an extraordinarily proud and boastful man, deceitful, and a godless hedonist -- all of which only took a little research (especially into Arnold's own words) to confirm that, so far, I seemed to be batting a thousand....' 23 / 28 Somewhat Positive
32 / 31 Neutral

My take: The top two categories combined grew from 37% to 44%, a 19% net boost over the 13 months covered (which roughly coincides with the governor's political career, beginning with his inauguration). Statistically speaking, 5% of the overall 7% shift drew from the two negative categories, with the other 2% coming from the neutral and uncertain categories. I'm sure Karl Rove would agree that these numbers indicate a significant movement in public opinion, and all the more since there is no particular campaign in view.

Schwarzenegger Sues Greeting Card Company

The Conservative Voice - News:

"National : Schwarzenegger Sues Greeting Card Company

Posted by Senior Editor on 2005/2/2 17:23:25 www.newsmax.com

He flexed lots of muscle in his movie roles, and continues to do so in his role as California's governor, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to rumble in court with a greeting card company he alleges is ripping him off, a 'Celebrity Justice' exclusive reports.

CJ reveals that according to papers filed in Los Angeles by Schwarzenegger's attorney, Marty Singer, the tenacious, self-made body-builder turned actor/superstar and California politician, is ready to take on Recycled Paper Greetings, Inc. and DCI Studios for illegally using an image of himself and his wife, Maria Shriver. The Hollywood heavyweight says that only he has control over the Schwarzenegger image.

'CJ' asked entertainment attorney Aaron Moss if Arnold has a case. Moss, who represented actor Tom Skerritt when his photo was used in an ad for an erectile dysfunction treatment, told us Governor Arnold is entitled to same rights as Actor Arnold. 'This seems like a clear cut violation,' Moss observed. 'Becoming governor doesn't mean you give up the right of publicity.'

Arnold's image is the Fort Knox of Hollywood, and he is known to doggedly protect it. He has filed similar suits against Frye's Electronics, an Ohio auto dealer, and the maker of an Arnold Bobble-head doll.

While some may argue Schwarzenegger is a fair target for political parody, Moss maintained the greeting card is far from that. 'This is not 'Saturday Night Live' parodying the governor. It's not a comic strip that's making fun of him,' Moss noted. 'It's simply using his picture to sell cards.'"

CBS 5: Arnold Inc: Living Like a Star

CBS 5: Arnold Inc: Living Like a Star:

"Arnold Inc: Living Like a Star

Feb 4, 2005 11:14 am US/Pacific

(CBS 5) What do you do after you've amassed a fortune estimated at $400 million? After you've married into one of the most glamorous dynasties in America? After you've taken up part-time residence in Sacramento, because, oh yes, you've been elected governor?

Well, you keep living like a star. And nobody in Sacramento, or anywhere in state politics, has ever seen anything like 'Arnold, Incorporated.'

'There's a wide wake in Arnold's path,' said State Sen. Carole Midgen, D-San Francisco. 'There's no question that there's a lot of advance, a lot of entourage. One isn't surprised to know you're in the presence of a global celebrity.'

But it's costly. Schwarzenegger commutes weekly from LA by private jet. He lives in Sacramento in a $7,000-a-month suite at the Hyatt Hotel. He travels with more CHP and private security than any of his predecessors. And when he has an event -- even a simple press conference -- the lighting, sound and stage-teams sweep in hours beforehand with the best equipment. Even the president of the United States doesn't travel with his own Hollywood lighting team.

Now, some consumer watchdog groups are starting to ask questions about who pays for Arnold, Incorporated, and why.

"The cost to the state of California having a movie-star governor is extravagant," said Jamie Court of the Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights. "We are picking up hotel bills, we are picking up security bills, there's all sorts of travel bills. Wherever this governor goes he goes with a huge entourage. And if taxpayers don't wind up paying for the entourage -- in most cases they don't -- the special interest groups that are paying for the entourage are getting some chits with the governor, and they're getting a rate of return somewhere."

The Schwarzeneggers live in a gated community in the Brentwood section of LA. The family has always had lots of private security and they've always lived an A-list Hollywood lifestyle. And he brings all that to the governor's office.

So Schwarzenegger has set up half-a-dozen private political committees to pay for the jets, the hotels, the travel, the big events, the lifestyle -- and records show that funding those committees with millions of dollars are some of the biggest developers, insurance companies, financiers and corporations in the State.

"Gray Davis set the standard until Governor Schwarzenegger blew him out of the water," said Doug Heller, with the Santa Monica public-interest group called ArnoldWatch.org. "Gov. Schwarzenegger raises somewhere between $72,000 and $80,000 every single day of the year. That's double what Gray Davis did when Gray Davis was at his height of fundraising... The donors, I think, have gotten more than they would have dreamed up. Because you can look at a number of different levels where Gov. Schwarzenegger has served the corporate donors who have been contributing to both his campaigns and these charitable groups."

As for the governor, his office notes that he's not taking any salary to do his job. And he himself says his fortune keeps him independent.

"No one can buy me," Schwarzenegger said. "I am independently financially successful. I have enough money that I don't have to take anyone's money to be bought. That is the key thing."

But it's not so simple, when you look at the bills the Governor has signed and vetoed, and when you connect the dots to his contributors. And we'll press him on that, in our next report.

CBS 5: Arnold Inc: Raising Millions in Campaign Money

CBS 5: Arnold Inc: Raising Millions in Campaign Money:

"Arnold Inc: Raising Millions in Campaign Money

Feb 7, 2005 7:32 pm US/Pacific

(CBS 5) Arnold Schwarzenegger is the man who campaigned against special interests and the influence of big money in state government.

So how's he doing on cleaning that up so far?

'We can't ignore the fact that he has raised $38 million as a politician,' said Doug Heller of a group called ArnoldWatch.org.

And that's just his campaign money. In addition, the Governor has set up a half-dozen private fundraising groups that help pay for his Hollywood lifestyle in the governor's office as well as his campaigns for bond measures and initiatives. So, in a one-on-one interview, we asked the governor about 'Arnold Incorporated.'

'I'm very happy that I have those donors that pay for those initiatives,' Schwarzenegger said. 'We have been very successful with our initiatives... But here's the key thing -- never be able to be bought by the special interests. That is the key thing.'

State records show that Schwarzenegger's various political committees are funded by millions of dollars from the same insurance companies, developers, financiers and others who have done business with the state for years. So do they influence his policies?

'I will always promise the people I will represent them, because no matter who gives me money, to me the most important thing is the people of California,' Schwarzenegger said.

We asked him about taking a million dollars from the car dealers and then vetoing the consumers' car bill of rights, and taking $350,000 from the drug companies and then vetoing four prescription drug bills.

"I vetoed the bills that were bad for California," he said. "It's that simple."

But the fact is, Schwarzenegger raises between $72,000 and $80,000 a day, twice as much as former governor Gray Davis ever did. When we reminded the governor of his own campaign promise not to take special interest money, he compared himself to California's last reformist governor.

"I cannot be bought. That is the key thing," he said. "People can be safe with me. I'm the first guy probably after Hiram Johnson who cannot be bought in Sacramento."

We reminded the governor that he once said that if you take money from the really big powerful special interest groups, then you owe them something.

"I'm talking about the unions. You see, the lucky thing that we did was we never took money from Indian gaming tribes, because we knew that those negotiations would come up and they did come up. And so therefore I could just go and say, 'Look, no matter what you say, you didn't pay for my campaign. So I don't have to do any favors. Because that's what happens with the other politicians."

He's different, he says, from those other politicians, even though the money flowing in sure looks the same.

"Air Arnold: New Message for the Governor in the Skies Above the Capitol During Gov's Fundraiser

Contact: Jerry Flanagan of the Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, 415-497-1710; Charles Idelson of the California Nurses Association, 510-273-2246 or 415-559-8991

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Feb. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The California Nurses Association (CNA) and Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights (FTCR) announced the new 'Air Arnold' campaign that will alert the public to the governor's special interest fundraisers for his special election this November and the governor's broken campaign promises to voters. An airplane, dubbed 'Air Arnold,' hired by CNA and FTCR, buzzed the Capitol during the governor's Sacramento fundraiser today and into the evening pulling a banner reading: 'Don't Be Big Business's Bully - Arnoldwatch.org / Calnurses.org'

Schwarzenegger recently announced he would raise $50 million to support his ballot initiatives that largely help his big industry donors in a special election this year. The governor has said he will raise much of the money from out of state donors, which presumably includes raising money from Wall Street for an initiative to privatize public pension funds that will put hundreds of millions of dollars in the hands of Wall Street financers.

After their press conference, nurses, teachers, seniors and consumer advocates followed Schwarzenegger into a scheduled fundraiser at the Sheraton Grand at lunchtime, but he alluded them as they chanted, 'Hey, Arnold you cannot hide, we can see your greedy side.' Schwarzenegger was forced to enter through a back door.

"Air Arnold will follow Schwarzenegger from fundraiser to fundraiser until the governor gets the message that real reformers don't have to raise $50 million to support their pet ballot initiatives," said Jerry Flanagan of FTCR. "The governor should apologize for calling nurses and students special interests simply because they can't afford to give campaign contributions or take care of the sick for a living. As the governor fundraises this week across the state, he will have a lot of people looking up. Air Arnold flies for real people."

At the press conference, registered nurses representing CNA - which recently launched a national television ad criticizing Schwarzenegger's rollback of patient safety laws - said that Schwarzenegger's donors are the real special interests, not nurses and patients. (The ad, now airing, can be viewed at http://www.arnoldwatch.net or http://www.calnurses.org .

In the California Nurses Association television ad, veteran registered nurse Melita Dionosio-Temple warns: "The one thing the public should know, is that one day you will be in that bed and realize that because of the number of patients one nurse has to take care of, you may be calling, and there's nobody there."

On Sunday, Air Arnold pulled the first banner that read, "It's No Party for Nurses, Patients and Students -- Arnoldwatch.net," above Schwarzenegger's Brentwood estate prior to the governor's Super Bowl Sunday party for some of the nation's political and Hollywood elite. To watch a video of the Super Bowl event, visit http://consumerwatchdog.org/assets/scans/PartyPlane.mov. Air Arnold will follow the governor to San Diego for another fundraiser this Thursday.

According to FTCR, the governor's control of a fundraising committee called Citizens to Save California, formed to push Schwarzenegger-backed ballot initiatives in a special election this year, is an attempt to circumvent new rules that cap the amount of money an elected official can raise from individual donors. Schwarzenegger allies including Chamber of Commerce President Allan Zaremberg and Joel Fox, who worked for the governor during the recall campaign, run the ballot committee. The committee is co-hosting fundraisers around the state featuring Schwarzenegger, including the lunchtime event today at the Sacramento Sheraton Hotel.

FTCR said that the public has a right to know that the governor has violated promises he made to protect the public from special interests. For example, Governor Schwarzenegger:

-- used his emergency powers to repeal hospital safety rules requiring that there be enough nurses on duty in hospitals to take care of patients (for more information visit http://www.calnurses.org/ );

-- announced plans to raise college student fees instead of blocking an $80 million taxpayer-funded giveaway to some of the state's largest corporations who did not pay taxes last year (for more information visit http://www.ftcr.org/corporate/pr/pr004833.php3 );

-- announced plans to forced the disabled to join HMOs who'll be allowed to limit access to health care (for more information visit http://arnoldwatch.org/blogs/blogs_000564.php3);

-- supported overturning the "Consumer Bill of Rights" it had approved last year to protect consumers against cell phone overcharges, unfair practices, poor connections and other abuses (for more information visit http://ftcr.org/corporate/pr/pr004837.php3);

-- proposed to dissolve dozens of public oversight boards that protect the public from consumer rip-offs, dangerous doctors, and other special interest attacks (for more information visit http://arnoldwatch.org/blogs/blogs_000562.php3).

For a web log chronicling Governor Schwarzenegger's betrayal of the public trust visit http://www.Arnoldwatch.org/ (run by FTCR). Consumer advocates said that Schwarzenegger has violated campaign promises by raising $40 million in his first year in office - an average of $80,000 per day - after claiming in his campaign for office that such campaign contributions corrupted policy decisions.

Our View - Governor reneges on education promise

By the Daily Independent Editorial Board
Tuesday, February 8, 2005 2:16 PM PST

It's official Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has become another politician who promises the world to get elected and once in office changes course.

The governor's proposed budget would cost California schools $2.3 billion Schwarzenegger promised them last year.
Last January, the governor said he would fully restore school funds this year if education groups would accept a one-time $2 billion cut in the money they were owed under Proposition 98.

The voter approved measure sets minimum state funding levels for schools.

The governor has said the state's financial condition has forced him to break the deal with educators.

What message does this send to voters. Should the state's financial crisis continue, what will prevent the governor from reneging on his promise to local governments not to raid their coffers, under Measure 1A?

Meantime, the governor plans to pick more fights with teachers by eliminating the state's contribution to their retirement program.

It won't help that shortage of money is only one of many obstacles facing California schools.

Two comprehensive reports out recently, a study of California by the Rand Corp. and a state-by-state comparison by Education Week, underscore the crisis facing California schools.

In terms of achievement, California's fourth-graders were ranked 40th in the nation in math and 44th in English in scores on a nationwide test.

California schools have other problems.

Schwarzenegger wants to stay in charge even when traveling out of state

Inside Bay Area - Alameda Times-Star - Home:

"Bill would reduce lt. governor's powers - Schwarzenegger wants to stay in charge even when traveling out of state

By David M. Drucker, SACRAMENTO BUREAU

SACRAMENTO Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante would see his limited powers further diminished under a proposed constitutional amendment unveiled Tuesday by a Republican legislator.

If approved by voters, Senate Constitutional Amendment 6 would allow Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to remain California's acting chief executive when he leaves the state.

Under current law, the Republican governor transfers all gubernatorial powers to Bustamante a Democrat who challenged him for the governorship in the 2003 recall whenever he takes one of his frequent trips outside the state.

A two-thirds vote of the Democrat-led Legislature is required to put SCA 6 on the ballot, which it refused to do when a previous proposal was floated during Democratic Gov. Gray Davis' tenure.

'With cell phones, wireless technology and other means of instant communication, there is no reason that the governor's authority must be temporarily limited just because he or she has left the state,' said state Sen. Dave Cox, R-Sacramento, the amendment's author. 'It's just common sense.'

Schwarzenegger regularly leaves California, both for state business and vacations. The governor spent New Year's with his family at a home he and his wife own in Sun Valley, Idaho, and he already has scheduled to spend a day or two in Washington next week, with trips to Columbus, Ohio, and three cities in China scheduled for the coming months.

SCA 6 would delete 'absence from the state' as a requirement for transferring gubernatorial powers to the lieutenant governor, leaving only impeachment proceedings and physical disability.

"SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- From a verbal assault on the ground to an aerial attack with planes and signs, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming under fire for his fund raising. Watchdog groups are accusing the governor of breaking campaign contribution laws.

The governor is planning to ask voters to approve a series of reforms this year, such as restricting state spending and redrawing political boundaries. How Schwarzenegger plans to pay for that campaign is where the controversy begins.

Schwarzenegger wasn't greeted with his usual admiring crowd at a downtown Sacramento hotel Tuesday. Protesters booed the governor as he entered the hotel. And a sign on a plane that flew overhead questioned the governor's allegiance to special interest groups.
A spokeswoman said Schwarzenegger's agenda is public, with no secrecy. But On Tuesday, there was plenty of secrecy. Protestors were kept far away, and so was KCRA 3 reporter Kevin Riggs.

Guests were invited to the hotel to hear Schwarzenegger's pitch for his reform ballot measures. It's the opening act for a major fund-raising campaign by a new committee, formed by Schwarzenegger allies, called Citizens to Save California.

'We have an independent committee. We can get advice from the governor, just as we can get input from you or from everybody in California. But we'll be making the decisions,' said committee Co-Chairman Allan Zaremberg. "

Critics say it appears like the committee is doing the governor's bidding, and if so, is breaking state campaign laws.

"If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. It's all in your definition of 'controlling,'" said Foundation for Taxpayer Rights spokesman Jerry Flanagan.

Under new rules that took effect after the November election, ballot measure committees controlled by a candidate can receive donations no greater than $22,000 per donor. If the committee is independent, the sky's the limit...."

"The Arnold takes them all" by George Will

The Arnold takes them all by George Will:

"Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican populist, practices what Leon Trotsky preached permanent revolution. He is in perpetual campaign mode, wielding his celebrity and theatricality to keep the Legislature nervous about being bypassed by lawmaking-by-referendum, a constitutional weapon that is a Hiram Johnson legacy.

If Schwarzenegger successfully employs the plebiscitary mechanism this year, he will approach re-election next year ranked among the state's most transformative governors. And ripples raised by the boulders he is throwing into this nation-state's political pool will roll eastward across the country.

If all four measures go to the ballot — ‘‘the train,'' Schwarzenegger says, ‘‘has already left the station"; the process ‘‘is on automatic pilot'' — he expects opponents to spend a combined $200 million. He plans to raise $50 million and believes that if he is outspent by only four to one, he will win. His confidence approaches mysticism. Extending an arm, his palm toward his face and his fingers curved as though holding an invisible orb, he says ingenuously, ‘‘If I can see it" — any goal — ‘‘I can achieve it. And I have the ability to see it."

He sees California's political system reopened, like concrete cracked by a jackhammer, and sees the state's social system reinvigorated by an economy liberated. ‘‘The world,'' says this man who is used to being looked at, ‘‘is looking at us.'' Come November, the nation certainly will be."

JON BON JOVI - BON JOVI WANTS SCHWARZENEGGER FOR PRESIDENT

Rocker JON BON JOVI insists he would turn his back on his left-wing political beliefs and vote Republican if pal ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ever ran for US President.

The LIVING ON A PRAYER hitmaker is a staunch Democrat, who performed at rallies for JOHN KERRY as he fought to defeat PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH in the presidential election last November (04).

But he wouldn't hesitate in supporting the action man-turned-California Governor if the Austrian-born superstar was ever given the OK to run for office in the White House.

He says, "I would vote for him right now. I've known him a long time. I think he's a brilliant man, on and off the camera, and he's the most hard-working man, the most focused I've ever seen.

"He knows more about our country, having come to this country as an Austrian, than a lot of people who have never been to our Statue of Liberty.

"Forget the history concept, he understands what it is to come from nothing and he knows very well what it is to have everything... He came and worked as a construction worker in Santa Monica. I think he had a well-rounded background.

"I've been in a room with him and talk about people that light up a room. I think world leaders are gonna come to see him the same way."

Schwarzenegger Criticized for Taking Campaign Contributions

Schwarzenegger Criticized for Taking Campaign Contributions (10/14/2003):

"Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger is under fire from campaign finance reform advocates for claiming he needed no financial contributions, then reversing himself and taking in millions.

Schwarzenegger campaigned as an outsider, saying he would come to Sacramento and clean house, sweeping the Capitol clean of special interest influence.

However, just days after entering the race, Schwarzenegger was raking in money like a seasoned politician. 'I do think it's a stretch in credibility to say, 'I'm not going to take any money from special interests' and then a week later start taking literally millions from special interests that have business before the Capitol,' said Derek Cressman, a finance reform advocate for a group called 'The Rest of Us.'

Schwarzenegger's run for the governorship raised $21 million, including $11 million in outside donations. In addition to outside contributions, the film star donated $5 million to his campaign and also took out a personal loan for $4.5 million. That loan may be repaid to Schwarzenegger through future campaign contributions.

Schwarzenegger campaign officials point out that hundreds of contributors made donations. 'The fact of the matter is a lot of people wanted to support the campaign and one way they can do that is to provide campaign contributions, and we received contributions as low as $20,' said Schwarzenegger spokeswoman Karen Hanretty.

The top contributors to Schwarzenegger's campaign were William Robinson, an Idaho-based rancher and investor who donated $221,000; Stockton Developer Alex Spanos, who contributed $200,000; Paul Folino of the technology company Emulex, who donated $171,364; real estate developer William Lyon, who contributed $171,200; and the financial "

Politics - Governor raked in $28.8 million from '04 donors - sacbee.com:

"Schwarzenegger's donors wrote checks to seven committees formed for a variety of purposes and ran the gamut of traditional GOP givers - developers, retailers, drug companies and insurers.
His single biggest contribution - $1.5 million - came from technology guru Henry T. Nicholas III. The money went to defeat Proposition 66.
Mortgage giant Ameriquest Capital gave over $1 million to Schwarzenegger's ballot measure committee. He also took six-figure checks from wealthy businessmen such as Univision founder Jerry Perenchio, home builder Eli Broad and grocery czar Ron Burkle, all of whom were among Davis' top contributors."

Governor Seeks Outside Donors for Campaigns

Governor Seeks Outside Donors for Campaigns:

"As for his political ambitions, the governor said he wanted to raise at least $50 million to fund his 2005 proposals for overhauling government. His plans, announced three weeks ago, could include multiple ballot propositions and a TV advertising blitz leading up to a special election in November.

'We all know the issues we are addressing are not just state issues, that the rest of the country is looking at California and as California goes, so goes the rest of the nation,' said Schwarzenegger, who spoke Friday to the Los Angeles Times editorial board and to a news reporter in a later telephone interview.

The governor's aides have said they hope to raise another $50 million for a possible reelection campaign in 2006. Combined with the $50 million already spent on Schwarzenegger's 2003 recall election and ballot campaigns last year, the governor would have collected and spent $150 million in just three years in politics.

..."At the very least, the governor seems to be mocking the spirit of California laws, which were passed by voters and put already high limits on contributions to candidates," said Ned Wigglesworth, a Sacramento analyst with http://www.therestofus.org , a group that monitors campaign finance laws.

Many of Schwarzenegger's donations come from insurance companies, telecommunications firms and other corporate interests that lobby state government. Though Schwarzenegger often derides "special interests" as a dangerous force in Sacramento, he repeatedly states that he is not beholden to anyone because he is wealthy."

Maybe Anyone Can Be President

Maybe Anyone Can Be President:

"Among backers of various proposed constitutional amendments are members of both political parties and some of America's most liberal and conservative legislators. Both the incoming and outgoing chairmen of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, which considers constitutional amendments, support the change.

'This restriction has become an anachronism that is decidedly un-American,' Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), the past chairman, said recently.

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), who succeeded Hatch, said of Schwarzenegger: 'The guy has become governor of California. What more credentials could you ask?'

...In an outtake from the 1970s documentary "Pumping Iron," Schwarzenegger — not yet a U.S. citizen — is asked at a bodybuilding tournament when he will run for president. Schwarzenegger's firm answer: "When [Richard] Nixon gets impeached.

Moreover, Schwarzenegger as a potential president is a notion with a long history. In a 1991 satirical novel, "The Americans Are Coming!" Schwarzenegger defeats game show host Pat Sajak in a 1996 presidential election, overcoming "the old steroid stories and the Hitler stuff."

"It was meant to be a laugh," says author Alex Beam, now a columnist for the Boston Globe.

Two years after the novel, the notion of a Schwarzenegger presidency was dropped into a Sylvester Stallone sci-fi movie, "Demolition Man." In the movie, Stallone's character is frozen and awakened in 2032, when he is shocked to learn from co-star Sandra Bullock that Schwarzenegger has been president.

All that may still seem outlandish to Americans, but there is at least one place where a significant number of people anticipate a Schwarzenegger White House. A poll last year found that 37% of Austrians believe the governor of California will become president of the United States one day."

Schwarzenegger a Big Fundraiser in 2004

Schwarzenegger a Big Fundraiser in 2004:

"Schwarzenegger said last week he hopes to more than double his 2004 contributions this year to $50 million to promote ballot propositions he and his allies are preparing for a possible special election. The governor says his donors do not influence his decisions, and often recalls that he returned a $100,000 check after the contributor demanded a meeting with him.

'And since then,' Schwarzenegger said last week, 'I have never heard any one of the people that have contributed money to me ever say, 'I want to have a meeting, and I demand that the governor does this or that because we gave him money.' '

Schwarzenegger's biggest single donor was Orange County billionaire Henry Nicholas, who gave him $1.5 million to help defeat Proposition 66, which would have softened California's three-strikes sentencing law.

The next largest donor, at $1.054 million, was Ameriquest Capital Corp., a mortgage lender with interests in state affairs. Ameriquest spent more than $200,000 on lobbying in Sacramento last year."

CBS 5: Schwarzenegger Raises Record Campaign Money

CBS 5: Schwarzenegger Raises Record Campaign Money:

"Records show Schwarzenegger's biggest contributors include Orange County high-techie Henry Nicholas, mortgage company Ameriquest, the state Republican Party, and sports-team owner Alex Spanos. As for how the money was spent: almost $2 million went to campaign consultants; over $800,000 went for Schwarzenegger's extensive travel; $91,000 paid for the Hyatt Hotel, where Schwarzenegger lives in Sacramento; and $300,000 went to libel lawyers defending him from those groping charges made during the campaign. So it's a lot of money from some groups that some would consider special interests.

'Governor Schwarzenegger has defined special interests to mean anybody that hasn't contributed to him,' said Doug Heller from a website a group called ArnoldWatch.org. 'That's it. That's his rule.'"

Former and future(?) presidents honored at inauguration

Bush launches second term with global change in mind:

Article contains an interesting list of honored guests:

"Honored guests included California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger; former president Bill Clinton; former president Jimmy Carter; and former president George Bush and wife Barbara, the current president's parents. "

As Fox News cameras lingered on Schwarzenegger, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, and others in the main viewing stand of the inaugural parade, commentators discussed the Republican party's future. Of course, Schwarzenegger's praises were sung for his successes in California along with the political prowess of Rove, the only other name mentioned. At one point, news anchor Shepherd Smith caught himself after saying of the constitutional prohibition for foreign born citizens to be president, "when they change the rules...[long pause] ...if they change the rules..."

Identification Laws, Systems and the number 666

666 - The System!: "You too are subject to the following laws -- if not directly, then indirectly due to the nature of their enforcement.
The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996, Public Law 104-193, established a locating and tracking database system which transcends all borders -- even international ones. Under this system, any parent charged with owing passed due child support payments must have their wages garnished, bank accounts seized, and tax refunds withheld in addition to their driver's licenses, business licenses, and passports being revoked. Consequently, every American must be subjected to these same data collection requirements in order for the system to function as intended.

In addition to the state-run databases, state and federal agencies now have open access to records held by private entities such as electric, phone, pager, and cable t.v. companies. All employers must likewise open their records to enforcement agencies and must also generate monthly reports on their employees to send to the state which are in turn reported to a federal database. These laws even extend to private contracting parties.
Once this system is perfected, other violations of other laws will be gradually incorporated into the internationally linked locating and tracking payment enforcement system."

The article then lists a "compilation of excerpts from section 666 of the United States Code, which is where the above stated requirements are set out."

Do They Matter? (the unborn)

"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me...Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' - Matt 25:41-45 NASB

The fundamental problem these self-condemning people have is that they don't think their INACTION matters, though that isn't really what gets them. Rather, their inaction proves that these people don't think the people they shunned matter; they are on trial, and their works or lack thereof are the evidence.

They emulate the works of the self-righteous lawyer who thought to weasel his way around Yahweh's commandments by exempting himself from loving those he didn't regard as his brethren. Yahshua answered with the Parable of the Good Samaritan, but instead of answering the man's question, 'who is my brother', Yahshua answered how HE knew who HIS brethren were. In the parable, Yahshua is the wounded stranger that neither the Levite or priest regarded as even worthy of minimal assistance in his dire circumstances.

Those who economize on brotherly love in Christ's name really miss the point. We can pick, choose, and entreat those we count as brethren however we want, but in the end, it makes no difference. The only thing that matters is whether or not we choose to be a brother to Yahshua.

A 40 million member choir of the victims of abortion are crying out to God for vindication, and He is listening. Is his anger rising against the promoters and profiteers of the abortion industry? Yes, of course, but only a fool would think His wrath could be placated simply by dealing with them. No, you see, they are only capitolizing on the opportunities given them by the silent enablers of their crimes, all those who don't even count the unborn amongst the very "least of these."

Yahshua takes violence and injustice against His brethren seriously, but we are supposed to be His voice, hands, and feet in the world. The choice is ours, but if we want a place in the family of the living God, we must first be Yahshua's brother. And if we want to be Yahshua's brother, we must be a brother to the "least of these," His brethren first.

We have His word on it.

"And Yahweh said to him, 'Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.'

And to the others he said in my hearing, 'Pass through the city after him, and smite; your eye shall not spare, and you shall show no pity; slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women, but touch no one upon whom is the mark. And begin at my sanctuary.' So they began with the elders who were before the house."
- Ezek 9:4-6 RSV

PRESIDENT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER = 666

If {a=1,A=2...z=51,Z=52}, then the name 'PRESIDENT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER' computes to a sum of 666.

This I discovered after identifying numerous scriptural indicators of the pre-ascent antichrist, all pointing in Schwarzenegger's direction, some rather unique, and the entirety arguably presenting a nearly indisputable case. The "smoking gun", as I regarded the mathematical association between the antichrist's name and 666, still lacked, but he was the chief and only suspect, just the same. (I started the online investigation I've dubbed "The Arnichrist Project" several months before finding this.)

Then I heard former President George Bush Sr. taunt a Texas audience not to "bet against Arnold Schwarzenegger" becoming the U.S. president. I'd tried numerous other renditions of the man's name, but hadn't considered what every headline in the world will say if the senior Bush's prediction comes true: PRESIDENT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER.

What I figured would be another lengthy series of trials and errors turned out to be a 2-step, five minute process, including recalculating from scratch twice. First, using a non-case sensitive 26 point scale (A=1, B=2...), the letters totaled 333, exactly half the number of the beast's name, and that led directly to the aforementioned 52 point, case-sensitive tabulation.

In legal terms, by the way, I've since discovered that names are almost always written in all caps in legal documents from birth certificates to indictments and everything in between. It is also common on seals, banners, signs, and headlines, like how the name 'PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH' appears on the page banner of the White House's web site.

Before the real antichrist becomes a national and international political leader, he will hold a subordinate level position, or be a "little horn" -- a perfect description of a state governorship.

As such, he will not only have a notably large, strong, and imposing physique, he will be moreso than his peers, and this will be a significant aspect of his public image.

He will be known also for succeeding at everything he does, be very clever, aggressive, and dishonest in garnering support of others, and will rise through political intrigue.

He'll also hold women in disdain, that is, true love will mean nothing to him; women won't be any more than tools or toys to him.

He will at least be perceived as a marginal believer or ally by Christians, possibly like a devout pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Catholic?

One of his many blasphemous names will be "Destroyer". Others might include Barbarian, Hercules, Terminator?
